📌Rescues: how missions appear, pickup, delivery and points

How a mission appears and where
Missions appear automatically (events, civilian incidents, frontline) or you request them (F10). They spawn
only within player range (sector ~50 km/1 player, +25 km per player), at least 1.5 km from hospitals
and at least 2.5 km from pilots (no incident pops up right under your helicopter).
Types: plane crash, emergency landing, car accident, convoy ambush, building fire, forest fire, sinking ship, downed pilot…
Priority and time limit

Base limit
Note
P1 critical
🔴 red [R]
10 min
most urgent
P2 medium
🟠 orange [Y]
15 min
P3 low
⚪ white [G]
25 min
The limit extends with distance to the nearest hospital (a far P1 up to 25 min, P3 up to 35 min) — the system shows it.
On expiry the mission fails (penalty).
Three pickup methods (choose by aircraft and terrain)
LANDING — touch down at ≤2 m AGL, ≤2 m/s within 200 m of the survivors → 40 s on the ground, they walk up and board.
HOVER (no rope) — hold ≤15 m AGL, ≤3 m/s → 25 s hover → loaded. Fast, for small helos.
HOIST (rope) — for big transports (CH-47, Mi-8, UH-60, UH-1H): 10–45 m AGL, ≤1.5 m/s (true hover) → 30 s + 15 s per patient on the rope.
Bonus +20 points/casualty (harder and realistic).
Survivors board once they are within 10 m of the helo (one by one). Carrying patients, you can't pick up water (and vice versa).
Cargo weight (real, you feel it on CH-47/Mi-8/UH-1H)
Patient 95–165 kg by severity (light/moderate/severe/critical) + stretcher 25 kg + paramedic 90 kg (once per helo).
More patients = heavier helo = worse performance. Fly smoothly (see "Rescues: how missions appear, pickup, delivery and points").
Delivery to a hospital
Land at ≤2 m AGL, ≤2 m/s within 350 m of a hospital → 20 s on the ground → patients handed over, points + delivery bonus.
The system recommends the 3 nearest hospitals. Hospital types (effective capacity after the ×1.15 profile): Base 92 · Field 35 · Mobile/ship 23 · Trauma 17 · Civilian 12 · Aid Post 6.
⚠️ Triage is ENFORCED: small facilities refuse heavy cases (Aid Post/Civilian take light/moderate only; Field adds severe; Mobile adds critical; take critical/severe to Base/Trauma/Mobile). Refused patients stay on board — fly to a bigger hospital.
At a hospital/FARP you also refill water (firefighter) and refit.
Points (SAR)
Rescue P1 100 / P2 60 / P3 30 + 15/survivor + hot bonus 25 + delivery 40.
Failure −50/−25/−10. Dead: delivered −5, abandoned −20 (better bring the body in).
G-MONITOR — patients feel how you fly
When carrying patients, "felt G" is measured (hovering = 1.0). Hard flying makes them worse.
- Hard flight (G > 1.8, sink > 8 m/s) = +1 min deterioration to all patients aboard. The paramedic warns you.
- Smooth flight (average G < 1.3) = −15 % deterioration + a 10-point bonus/patient on a smooth handover.
- In practice: smooth turns, no abrupt descents, gentle touchdown. With a MEDEVAC paramedic the effect is halved.
Based on the pilot guide (mission BETA2.99.23). Post your questions and experience in this thread.
